Why I started this blog...

I love reading blogs.

I especially love reading other mom's blogs who are in the same stage of life as me and share the same beliefs/goals/values. They give me inspiration, encouragement and ideas. They help me know that I'm not alone on this motherhood journey and have the same struggles I do.

I live in a very isolated society where community is scarcely practiced. Older Titus 2 women are rare to find and I find myself desperate at times for encouragement and guidance on how to be a Godly homemaker, wife and mother.

When I first started this journey I found myself desperate for encouragement and refreshment from other Godly moms and randomly googled "how to be a Godly homemaker". To my pleasant and shocking surprise google had displayed before me hundreds of blogs offering their advice, encouragement and tips. I had no idea this blog world existed and was thrilled!

A couple of good blogs quickly became my go to encouragement and daily reads. I found out how to have a cleaning schedule, how to use my crockpot and was encouraged to kiss my husband as he got in the door. You see, being raised in a secular home I was never trained to be a homemaker and mother, more to be a career woman. I had no idea what I was doing or where to start. Finding these women's blogs was such a help to me when i had no one to show me the way.

So now that I've been watching others blogs for a while now Ive decided to join in on the fun. Share my experiences as a homemaker and hope to connect with some kindred spirits in the process. Also I hope maybe one day my experience will encourage a weary mom somewhere and help her see that she's not alone on this journey called motherhood.

This calling is hard, demanding, and sanctifying.

But, this calling is Holy and it's from a Mighty Loving God who will never leave us or forsake us. He is with us every diaper change of the way and He sends help when we need it. Sometimes that help comes through other moms who are there to say "we're in this together".

So here I am. Just another mom, joining in on all the blogging fun. I pray that this blog will be used by God to encourage others and bring Him great glory.

See ya around!
